The new Ka is even more fun to drive than the original. It’s sporty and responsive, with a choice of refined engines that make it highly economical.
Whether you choose the diesel or petrol engine option, you will have the benefit of a manual five-speed transmission that makes the new Ka a highly responsive and fun car to drive.
The new Ka doesn’t just look smart – it is smart. You’ll find an array of useful technology that’s designed to make your journeys safer, more secure and a lot more rewarding.
Hit the right note
The new Ka features a brand new six-speaker sound system with a CD player that also reads MP3 files, so you can burn several albums onto one disc and travel light. There’s also a mini jack socket to connect your MP3 player.
Bluetooth® with Voice Control
The Bluetooth® with Voice Control system and USB let you make, receive or refuse calls using your voice or the steering wheel controls.
Hot or cold: how do you like it?
Whether you need to stay chilled or make things a little cosier, the new Ka's climate control makes it effortless. Simply set the temperature and it maintains it at just the right level.
A warm welcome
Perhaps best of all are the heated front seats to take away the chill on winter mornings (available with leather seats). Press the button and they maintain a comfortably warm seat temperature for as long as you like.
Ka features a wealth of safety technology for confident, assured handling in all conditions. There’s a brand new suspension system and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution which come as standard.
Safety first
The new Ka’s outstanding road handling can be further enhanced with the Electronic Stability Programme that prevents slipping and skidding in low-grip conditions.
Headlight Courtesy Delay
For the first time, the new Ka has Headlights Courtesy Delay to illuminate your way at night. When you step out of the vehicle, the headlights remain switched on for a few seconds, helping you see the way to your door.
Automatic parking sensors
The new Ka makes parking one less thing to worry about. It’s got rear parking distance sensors that sound the alert when you’re getting close to the kerb or to another vehicle.
Hazard warning lights
Brake hard and your hazard warning lights, both front and rear, will flash automatically to forewarn other drivers and help prevent accidents.
Intelligent Protection System (IPS)
Beneath its robust, steel safety cage, a comprehensive system has been designed to safeguard you and your passengers. It incorporates airbags, three-point seat belt pre-tensioners and anti-submarining front seats, plus collapsible steering column and pedals.
Maximum speed alert
To ensure that you don’t inadvertently exceed the speed limit, you can set your maximum speed and an audible alarm plus a flashing light will protect you and your licence. (Standard on Zetec and included with optional Bluetooth® and USB.).
Parkers- "Smooth and economical, but offer enough pace to make motorway journeys relaxing. Cheap to run, well built and fun to drive, the Ka is a superb small hatchback."
Autotrader- "The Ford handles better and is more modern than the Fiat. The Fiat 500 has more style and similarly equipped models are slightly cheaper. Both models are winners, but you should choose the Ford Ka if you want the best driving dynamics available in a city car."
