Claire has just completed a pre championship camp in Manchester, where the team practice race techniques and ensure that they are tapering correctly.
Claire flies to Berlin this week and will hopefully see a billboard of herself and two other Paralympian swimmers at Heathrow’s terminal 5. They also intend to have a small piece of an interview they did with her on their in-flight programme.
The team always arrive at the competition venue days before the championships, mainly to acclimatise to the new environment and also to get a feel for the pool itself. The Europeans start this Sunday and Claire will be swimming :-
Sunday: 100 Free
Monday: 200 IM{she’s currently the European record holder in this event}
Tuesday: 400m freestyle relay
Wednesday: 100 Breast stroke
Saturday: 100 fly and 400m medley relay
