Tim and Richard Hill, managing directors of Hills Ford have led by example, by investing in the Automotive Management Accreditation (AMA) assessment scheme alongside the other five members of their senior management team.
Both Tim and Richard have seen AMA as a mechanism to strengthen their relatively new team by using the assessment to encourage the individual candidates including themselves to scrutinise their own practices.
'The AMA assessment has been particularly helpful to me in ensuring that I reassess and reprioritise my working practices' says Andy Waterhouse, General Sales Manager.
Automotive Management Accreditation (AMA) works on a similar basis to the successful Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) scheme but is the first accreditation scheme to address managerial needs specific to the score. It has been designed to identify skill gaps and development potential for managers and validates current competence which benefits both individuals and the business for which they work.
