The seven-seat Grand C-MAX offer Ford’s Hands-Free Liftgate, new Perpendicular Parking system and improved Active City Stop collision avoidance technology that now works at speeds of up to 50 km/h. C-MAX and Grand C-MAX also are offered with Ford’s new 1.5-litre EcoBoost and 1.5-litre TDCi engines, including a 99 g/km CO2 1.5-litre ECOnetic diesel.
New Grand C-MAX features more emotional, sleek exterior design with bold new face of Ford and an intuitive, beautifully crafted interior. Ford’s innovative twin sliding doors and “walk-through” seat design for greater convenience, space and flexibility is one of the many features that the seven-seater Grand C-Max offers.

The more intuitive layout has fewer controls and switches, while the new black satin trim and chrome detailing contributes to a cleaner, more modern look. Functions are simpler to use, such as the air-conditioning controls that now feature buttons that are easier to recognise and distinguish from each other.

Available with a hands-free liftgate that opens and closes with a simple wave of your foot under the rear bumper: ideal when you’ve got your hands full.
So discover a range of remarkable technologies that are simple to use, or simply work for you.
Better connected with SYNC 2
The new Grand C-MAX family is equipped with Ford’s SYNC 2 voice-activated connectivity system that features a high-resolution, 8-inch colour touch screen and advanced voice control for hands-free operation of audio, navigation, climate control and connected mobile phone functions.
Ford’s Active Park Assist
The system locates suitably-sized parking spaces and, at the push of a button, steers a vehicle in to the space while the driver controls the accelerator and brake. Grand C‑MAX adds Perpendicular Parking capability with the addition of two new ultrasonic sensors at the rear of the car. The system helps drivers reverse into spaces side-by-side with other cars.
A tailgate that opens and closes automatically
The hands-free tailgate is invaluable if you have your hands full. As long as you have your KeyFree key-fob with you (in your bag or pocket) simply wave your foot under the rear bumper of the car and the tailgate will automatically open or close for you.
Cruise control that can adapt automatically
With Adaptive Cruise Control technology, you choose the speed you want to drive at and the system will maintain it. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it will slow the car to maintain a pre-set distance. Once the road in front is clear, the system will accelerate to your chosen speed.
Comfortable, flexible, fold-flat seats
The seven seat Grand C-MAX also enables you to quickly fold away the middle second-row seat beneath the right-hand seat. This ingenious 2+2+2 layout means you can create a ‘walk-through’ corridor for easy access.
Easy access, all round
With unique, twin sliding rear doors it’s easy for your passengers to get in and out. This intelligent design also prevents the doors banging against other cars, or walls, in tight parking spaces.
Sensing Danger and Providing Protection – Ford’s Grand C-MAX Family Delivers a Safer Drive.
The seven-seat Ford Grand C-MAX offers a wide range of technologies designed to help drivers mitigate, or even avoid, incidents.Active Braking
Should sensors detect the car is approaching a vehicle in the road ahead too quickly the system pre-charges the brakes and alerts the driver. If the driver does not respond to alerts the system automatically applies the brakes to reduce the impact of collisions across a speed range of 8-180 km/h (5-112 mph)
Active City Stop
Works in a similar way to Active Braking, the latest system now operates at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph), up from 30 km/h (19 mph)
Adaptive Cruise Control
Enables drivers to maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead, even when that vehicle is travelling more slowly than the cruise speed. For occasions when Adaptive Cruise Control is not active, Distance Indication enables drivers to set a preferred distance they would like to maintain with the vehicle ahead. Should the driver get any closer, the system issues a three-stage dashboard display warning – from grey to yellow to red.
Adaptive Front Lighting System
Adjusts the headlight beam angle to one of seven settings depending on traffic and road conditions. For example; when cornering at lower speeds, the system will project a beam towards the side of the road to make cyclists and pedestrians more visible. The system also will support drivers cornering at higher speeds by directing light further into the bend.
Cross Traffic Alert
Warns drivers reversing out of a parking space of vehicles that may soon be crossing behind them. Operating with radar at a range of up to 40 metres (131 feet), the system will issue three distinct warning signals if it detects a vehicle approaching from either side.
A Ford-first technology that enables owners to programme a key – usually for younger drivers – that restricts the top speed, reduces the maximum volume of the audio system, and can disable the audio system altogether if driver and passengers are not using safety belts. The system also can prevent the driver from deactivating safety technologies such as Traction Control.
