New and Used Car Sales Manager Designate

Hills Ford Malvern are delighted to announce a career changing opportunity for a successful candidate to lead the dealerships new and used car sales teams. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and talented motortrade sales professional to join our team. You will be dynamic, enthusiastic and highly professional in your approach.

For the first six months you will shadow the current Sales Manager as Senior Sales Executive to learn the job role and responsibilities whilst nurturing new and established customer relationships. Subject to a successful six months we would anticipate you becoming the full-time dealership Sales Manager.

The main responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Professionally manage, lead and train the sales team
  • Achieve all sales targets set internally as well as those by manufacturers
  • Ensure manufacturers customer satisfaction index scores are consistently in top quartile
  • Ensure manufacturer audits are passed
  • Always understanding the sales floor status and second facing all customers
  • Liaising with customers, both face-to-face and by phone/email
  • Manage the DMS and customer enquiry system to maximise use by all of the team
  • Deliver daily sales team meetings to ensure all prospects and enquiries are dealt with efficiently
  • Working to market vehicles and services on offer both in the dealership and online
  • Handling all finance proposals and dealing with our finance partners
  • Achieve and surpass F&I upsell targets
  • Ensure all customer journeys are followed correctly
  • Guarantee the sales process is followed correctly and all relevant paperwork is completed accurately as required by the company and regulatory bodies
  • Pricing of new and used vehicles
  • Experience of valuing customer part-exchanges
  • Work alongside the in-house marketing department to maintain campaign relevance
  • Report progress and KPI achievements to senior management
  • Work proactively alongside the aftersales team
  • Handling any customer complaints in an efficient and effective way.

The following skills and experience are required:

  • Senior motortrade Sales Executive experience
  • Relevant F&I training with current up-to-date qualifications
  • Experience of alongside manufacturers
  • Target and profitability driven, with an ability to lead and motivate a team to meet a goal
  • Flexibility to adapt to achieve targets in changing market conditions •
  • Engaging leadership to
  • Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
