SYNC 3 is our most advanced version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the colour Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen. This feature is standard on Mondeo.
The innovative Active City Stop helps the driver avoid a collision in slow-moving traffic or at speeds up to 30mph. It does this by continually measuring the distance to the vehicle in front when it is within a near range. If the system detects the vehicle in front has unexpectedly reduced speed, it automatically applies the brakes. This feature is standard on Mondeo.
This clever feature is designed to get you on the move quickly on frosty mornings. Just touch a button and ultra-thin filaments can superheat to de-ice, de-fog and de-mist your windscreen as well as help defrost the wipers. The system works in seconds, even if it’s freezing outside.
Quickclear windscreen, standard across the Mondeo range.
To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable mirrors fold inwards when you’re parked. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators. This feature is standard on Mondeo.
Our new bi-turbo diesel is a highly advanced piece of engine technology. Not only is it the first bi-turbo diesel we’ve ever installed in a passenger car, it’s also the most powerful, delivering a thrilling and highly responsive 210PS (154kW) with an impressive 450Nm of torque. The engine also provides outstanding fuel economy and, from just 124g/km, lower CO2 emissions than you’d expect from a powertrain with this level of performance.Smart design and clever engineering means that twin turbochargers provide power on demand, in every situation. The primary turbo works at lower speeds, giving you an extra boost when you need it. For example, when turning from a junction into moving traffic. The secondary turbo works at higher speeds for swift, smooth and more confident overtaking.
If you would like even more features as standard, why not treat yourself to an ST-Line Edition. The ST-Line Edition adds some of the following great features as standard over & above the ST-Line:
